"Baikal village"

Some people say the Siberian hour is equal to two Europeanones. Far away from cities, on the shore of the huge Lake Baikal, in the Siberian taiga. Where the air is crystal clear and well water is incredibly cool and tasty. -- Here, life in the Baikal village goes at its own slow pace, unhindered by the trappings of modern times. You will spend a few days in a Transbaikalian Russian family on the shore of Lake Baikal and will get acquainted with traditional way of life of Siberians.
Moreover, you will take part in fishing, preparation of firewood and other traditional activities. You will try traditional Siberian-Baikal cuisine and learn how to make unique Baikal dishes. A hot Siberian “banya” (sayna) will help you to forget all of your troubles. The hospitality and goodwill of your hosts will stay in your memory for many years. Only here you will be able to understand why people living on the shores of Baikal are different from others, how they have their own beliefs and other special values and unique customs.

Tour programme:

1st Day. Arrival in Ulan Ude. After breakfast a guided city excursion. Drive to the Syhay settlement. Accommodation in families and acquaintance withhosts.

2nd Day. After breakfast excursion around the village with visitsto famous places of interest. Training on firewood preparation for domestic furnace. Free time to explore. Dinner. Russian banya.

3rd Day. After breakfast drive to the shore of Baikal for fishing. You will try to prepare one of the most delicious dishes according to a special recipe: omul fish grilled on spits. Fishing. Return back to the village. Dinner. Russian banya.

4th Day. Breakfast. Farewell to hosts. Departure to Ulan Ude. Transfer to the airport.
